Pre-course planning:

The course presentation password will be issued on the day, but in the meantime, look through these two essential guidance documents by the RCN and RCPSG to get a good idea of what to expect from:

  • the course

  • what your role in travel health should look like in practice

  • all the expected competencies to fulfill if practicing in the field of travel health

The course presentation password will be issued on the day, but in the meantime, look through this document to get a good idea of what to expect from your course, and what your role in immunisation should look like in practice, and all the expected competencies to fulfill. All the immunisation course contents are based on this minimum standards document.

Pre-course planning: Useful things to have to hand during the session (on a F2F session I will bring equipment BUT do feel free to bring along the supplies you use in work for a more personalised experience)

  • Blood-taking needles of various sizes

  • Hubs that connect to them

  • Blood sample tubes

  • Tourniquets
